General Description

History

Classroom teaching program is one of the programs of education Faculty Primary School Department. The program started in 1992 to train primary school teachers who will work at primary school 1-4 grades.

Qualification Awarded

The graduates of primary school department are assigned as primary school teachers and work primary schools 1-4 grades.

Specific Admission Requirements

The student are selected by scores at university Enterance Examination. The language of four year traning at the department is turkish and approximately 110 students enroll the department.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The program started to accept students at 1992-1993 academ,c year. There are 2 Associate Professor, 7 Asistnt Professor, 1 Lecturers at the department. The bulding is located at Abant İzzet Baysal University Gölköy Campus.

Profile of The Programme

The program includes must, subject area, teaching profession knowledge culture and practical courses. Also, the students take elective courses. The courses are both theoretical and practical.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples

The graduates work at public and private primary school connected to Ministery of National Education as classroom teacher.

Access to Further Studies

The graduates will attend to graduate courses.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Depending on course contents of the courses 1/2 midterms, procet work, term paper, presntations and a final exam at the end of the term.

Graduation Requirements

It is a 4 year traning program. The students have to take all courses and their GPAs should be 2.00 minimum.

  • Having information about concepts, phenomenon and facts belonged to basic diciplines in elementary teacher education program and philosophy, understanding and elements of the curriculum.
  • Having information about theoretical and practical experiences for bringing reading-writing and linguistic skills to students and also having information about methods which being used scientific research and accessing scientific knowledge.
  • Having information about planning design included methods/techniques, equipments and assessment and evaluation techniques suitable for students’ attributes considering learning domain.

  • Using informatique and communication technologies which needed in educational area for planning and implementing teaching and learning process.
  • Reflecting students’ basic knowledge and approach intended for bringing reading-writing and linguistic skills into teaching and learning process and also developing students’ skills of use of Turkish language properly and effectively.
