General Description

History

Department of Biology was founded in 1992 which is the first part of Arts and Sciences Faculty started training in 1993, the language of instruction is English. Biology Department graduate a biologist by training in different fields of biology, bachelor's, master's and doctoral level training provides. Research areas are mainly of plant and animal systematics, plant and animal physiology, plant biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics, ecology, cell biology, hydrobiology, microbiology and molecular systematics includes topics. In addition, section Plant Data Base Unit, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology Laboratory, Medicinal Plants and Tissue Culture Laboratory, Photo-Neuro-Endocrine Laboratory, Fish Biology Laboratory, Water Analysis Laboratory, Cardiac Physiology Laboratory, Food Biology Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Herbarium Museum and the Entomology Museum. Teaching at the undergraduate level the department, including the first instruction and the second is the binary instruction. The department is equipped with the technologies mentioned above can be done in areas of research. Information about academic staff in the department "academic structure" page is located. Department faculty members need each year and non-university sources, financial support for university research funds can find opportunities.
