Objectives of the Course

1. To describe the methods followed in sample collection, preparation for analysis and analysis 2. To teach the basic statistical methods used in the interpretation of data gathered during sampling and after analysis 3. To teach the unit conversions in environmental chemistry calculations 4. To describe the basic principles of chemical kinetics 5. To teach the relationship between thermodynamic and equilibrium 6. To teach how to write the equilibrium equations between different phases (air-water and soil)

To describe the basic principles of water and wastewater treatment and water managements, to teach the air-water and soil intereactions in terms of equilibrium, to give a basic background on the environmental chemistry
