It is a field of Educational Administration and Supervision in the main field of Educational Sciences belonged to Institute of Social Sciences in Abant İzzet Baysal University.

For the Master of Science Program with thesis in Educational Administration and Supervision, the students can attend the program in the fullfilment of master of science entrance examination requirements.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations


To train field specialists who have the proficiences of license degree, have the abilities of making scientific research and ethic values and who create new knowledge through analysis, synthesis and appreciation with the interdisciplinary approach on the topies of educational administration and supervision and who are open to personal and vocational development. Subfield of Educational Sciences, Educational Administration and Supervision Program in the building of Faculty of Education, has being carried out its function with 2 professor, 2 Associate Proffessors, 2 Assistant Proffessors and 1 research assistant.


Profile of The Programme


In this program, there have been compulsory content- based, general culture and application courses. In addition to this, the students can take selective courses. Courses are given on theory and practice bases.

Field specialist. After the graduation, they can be employed in the field of administration and supervision in the country and abroad.

Graduates of Educational Administration and Supervision Master of Science with Thesis programmes can apply to doctoral programmes in the fulfillment of requirements.


Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading


Measurement and evaluation has been made in accordance with the contents of the courses, 1 or 2 mid-term exam(s), with project activity, research work and presentation.


Graduation Requirements


Normally,it lasts for 2 years. In order to be graduates, it is necessary to take all of the courses in the program and to make orginal research, to report it and to present it to the jury successfully.

Knowledge


To enhance general knowledge about education science within the framework of basic theories and applications concerning the field of MSPEE.

To be able to evaluate the relations between the theories and applications concerning education management and supervision.

To be able to comprehend the relationships between MSPEE and other related disciplines.

To be able to visualize the problems about MSPEE within the framework of scientific problem-solving, and to offer suggestions for solution for the problems of the education system by using qualitative and quantitative research methods.

To possess the necessary knowledge of research methodology and field literature to be able to conduct independent studies in the field of education management and supervision.

To be able to evaluate critically the assumptions, ideas and theories about the field of education management and supervision through skeptical, logical, analytical and independent perspective.

To be able to follow foreign research in the field.

To be able to discuss the strategies, policies and plans developed for the education system in terms of the theories and principles concerning education management and supervision and to evaluate the outcomes within the framework of national and international quality indicators.

To be able to assess the country’s human and material resources in relation to national policies and social, economic, cultural and scientific developments.

To be able to discuss how to solve the problems in the field of MSPEE on the basis of the general characteristics of information technologies.
