Electrical and Electronics Engineering M.Sc.


History


Electrical and Electronics Engineering Master's Program has been actively pursued since the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year.


Qualification Awarded


The students who complete all qualicifations are successfully awarded with degree of Master of Electrical-Electronics Engineering.


Specific Admission Requirements


Registration to the Master's Degree Program in Electrical-Electronics Engineering depends on the conditions announced by the AIBU Institute of Science at the beginning of each academic year. Acceptance of applications According to the AIBU Post-Graduate Education Regulations (passing grades according to the conditions announced by ALES and Language exams conducted by Higher Education and taking the pre-determined notices in announcement announcements made in the department). Students can follow the courses offered in the Master's program as special students. In addition, there is a yearly quota for foreign students who meet the requirements set by the Higher Education Council in the Master's program of the Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering.


Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)


Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering accepts students who have formal education background. The courses taken and/or studies carried out by the students coming from other Electrical-Electronics Engineering in the frame of horizontal transfer program are evaluated individually by the departmental board.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations


Student acceptance; 50% of ALES score, 20% of grade point average, 10% of foreign language score and 20% of science test are considered. Candidates must have at least 50 out of 100 written sciences / arts exam grades in order to be evaluated. Quotas are filled in starting with the highest total score.


Profile of The Programme


All the courses are elective in the departmental graduate program courses pool. However, students are encouraged to select courses related with the topic of the thesis on which they plan to study. The program courses can be opened in both terms. Regarding the number of students, there is no lower limit to open a course. If necessary, the students can be given a minor supervisor as well.

Access to Further Studies


Students with a Master's degree can continue to doctoral programs in the Electrical-Electronics Engineering field or in other Master's Departments that accept students in this area.


Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading


Assessment of the exams is carried out on a total of 100 points in the framework of Abant İzzet Baysal University Institute of Science Examination Regulations, including homework, oral presentation, term paper, practice, laboratory, midterm and final exam. The effect of the exams on the assessment and evaluation is announced to the students at the beginning of the semester by the relevant faculty member / staff / officer. The seminar course presents the seminar topic of the student who has taken the course on a common day and hour determined by the departmental faculty members (as if everyone else is open). Within the framework of the Examination Regulations of the Institute of Science and Technology, the professor is a professor in charge of grades, grades such as seminar course, S or NA. Students completing the thesis work will defend their thesis in front of the MS thesis jury consisting of three or five persons. The jury decides on the "acceptance", "rejection", or "correction" of the thesis by the pure majority.


Graduation Requirements


For the graduation, students must pass all the exams and meet all other qualification criteria including seminar presentation, completion of an original thesis and defending the thesis in front of the scientific jury. The thesis accepted by the scientific committee must be submitted to the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences in time.

Facilities


In the department, there are nine Member of Staff (two professors, two Associate Professors, and five Assistant Professors), seven Research Assistants. The department has computer, electrical machines, power electronics, fundamental electrical&electronics and circuit analysis laboratories. In every classroom where students attend lectures there are projection devices.
